As explained in a previous post- When a hopeful student applies to Miami Ad School, one of the things they need to include amongst their application materials is a video. This video is meant to illustrate some facet of that student’s creativity, and explain why they are a good fit for Miami Ad School.

We’re consistently amazed by the creative quality of application videos we receive. Here’s yet another madcap entry from Kevin Kayse, who hopes to join the ranks of the Minneapolis base school soon. Sorry the Beastie Boys gig didn’t work out, Kevin. Let’s hope you have better luck with Miami Ad School.

As someone who has certainly done his share of hiring, Heath had a wealth of knowledge to share about not only finding a job, but being a successful Creative in that position. He spoke about the curiosity, passion, and belief that possibilities are endless that make a person stand out to him. During a job interview, he wants to know what makes someone tick.

Kellogg’s Sally Blount: My First Year

In the past year, Sally Blount celebrated two major milestones: she turned 50, and she became dean of Northwestern Universitys Kellogg School of Management. With an ambitious new agenda that includes reorganizing the administration, creating a new strategic plan, launching the schools Think Bravely marketing campaign, and overseeing the construction of a world-class facility for Kellogg to call home, Blount has her work cut out for her.

But Blount is no stranger to the innovation she says has come to define Kellogg. She received her Ph.D.

ForumWatch: MBA Careers With Work-Life Balance

People often decide to pursue full-time MBA programs to change careers. But many of them are actually already burned out before they get to business school. Recently, Bloomberg Businessweek Business Schools Forum member yellosno began a discussion about post-MBA career opportunities for those who have a family and dont want to spend every moment of their lives at work.

This forum member happens to have a background in accounting and is looking for finance-related jobs that will give him at least enough time to socialize once a week and occasionally have dinners at home with his wife. Others chimed in with similar desires. And there was even some interesting advice about MBA career paths that could make yellosnos wishes come true.

MBAs have long been considered workaholics looking for the biggest payday.
