Move on, stop bemoaning loss of Oakwood’s park-like treasure: Sun News Letter to the Editor
I see once again in the editorial pages, letters from residents of Cleveland Heights, Paul Ferguson, Les Proctor and an owner of a business in University Heights, Con Czapski, bemoaning the loss of Oakwoods park-like treasure.
Who among us has previously had access to this 144-acre masterpiece recreation facility? It was a private club and I certainly had never had the pleasure of walking the grounds to appreciate the greenery or wildlife. I am losing nothing.
And while, in theory, it would be wonderful to preserve this for future generations, I believe we have to live within our means. Why cant Cleveland Heights just buy it and do what they would like to with it?
Come on people, lets move on!
