Eating Crow isnt the only one eating crow.

I thought I would see Eastwoods senior boys soccer team sail all the way to OFSAA this year and I thought theyd be playing Southwood in Thursdays championship final.

So, of course, weve got Grand River facing Bluevale.

At least I was right in saying weeks back that Grand River would be dangerous when Sasa Radosevic and Ljubo Stojkovic returned from suspension.

Because of all the rain this spring, I havent even seen Bluevale play and wont be at Thursdays final because Ill be at Day 2 of CWOSSA track. Christine Rivet will be pinch-hitting for me but I have to give the edge to Grand River.

It would be nice, however, to see Bluevale coach Ike Husain win a championship. One helluva nice guy, Husain has done a huge amount of work to promote WCSSAA soccer over the years.

And Eating Crow isnt the only one eating crow over his D8 predictions. I didnt come out and say it, but I thought St. Marys championship streak would end at five. However, this team has gotten better with every game though and I dont see them losing to a St. Benedict team they defeated 4-0 only last week.

And for my money, sweeper Oneill Spencer is the most exciting player Ive seen this year.Hes a bit of a gambler, but the guy has got scary speed and moves.

Oh, and thanks again for Christine for filling in today as Ill be at Day 1 of CWOSSA track.
