StudyBlue
Promising to improve users’ information retention, increase their overall efficiency and heighten engagement with study materials, StudyBlue allows students to upload notes to an online database and share content through study guides and flashcards. The site is organized by specific academic courses, giving students the ability to collaborate and share resources. And in line with today’s on-the-go mentality, StudyBlue’s data can be accessed from any location and on a series of digital devices, including smartphones, laptops and tablets. Moreover, students can share info via Facebook and Twitter.
Almost 1,000 people have recommended StudyBlue on Facebook, so it comes as no surprise that it’s received plenty of support from investors as well: The startup recently received $3.65 million from investors to increase growth across digital platforms for a slew of universities and colleges across the country, for a total of $6.5 million in funding.
While investors are emptying their pockets for StudyBlue, you never will: The online service costs students nothing but an
email address, which is required for registration.
